Wavelyn H. Bishop, 83, of Crooksville, passed away Friday January 14, 2022, at her residence. She was born on July 5, 1938 to the late Harold and Helen (Woods) Emory. Wavey, affectionately known as by her family, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her loved ones at family gatherings and at their river lot. She was formerly employed with Nelson Mccoy and Hull Potteries and spent many years working as a cashier at the New Lexington McDonalds. Wavelyn was a Lifelong member of the Crooksville-Roseville VFW Post 9090 as well as a Life member of the Crooksville American Legion Basil Grimes Post 222. Surviving her are husband, Joe Bishop of the home; daughters, Cindy (Don) Reed of Roseville, Becky Dalrymple of Crooksville; sons, Greg Johnson, Jay Johnson and John Johnson, all of Texas; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; siblings, Donna Shuster and Butch Wolfe; and daughter-in-law, Linda Johnson of Waverly. Preceding her in death were her sons, Donnie Johnson and Mike Johnson; parents; and brother, Richard Emory. Calling hours will be held Wednesday January 19, 2022, at Ross-Frash Funeral Homes, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville from 11:00am to 1:00pm, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.
