Shirley Viola (Fierce) Dalrymple, 86 of Crooksville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family up until her final breath. Shirley was born in Hollister, Ohio, on May 7, 1935. She is the daughter of the late Leland and Carrie (Moody) Fierce. Shirley married the love of her life on September 30, 1955. They would have celebrated their 66th Anniversary this month. Shirley was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church where she enjoyed many years of singing in the choir and participating in the Easter Drama. She also loved traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach with the whole family every summer. Her true passion and gifting was in being a wife, mother and homemaker. It was evident at every family gathering as well as in her day-to-day tasks. She loved her family fiercely and lived a life for God until the very end. She was the spiritual Matriarch of her family. More than anything, she would want her death to be an opportunity for someone to know God as their personal Lord and Savior. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Brad Dalrymple, her children, Sharlene (Steve) Stemple, Bradley (Linda) Dalrymple, Lori (Ronnie) Fisher, and Carrie (Lynn) Swackhammer. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Aaron Stemple, Jonathan (Ashley) Stemple, Rachel (Bobby) Dunn, Seth Stemple, Sherri (James) Stephenson, SueAnn (Dusten) Clark, Robbie (Julia) Dalrymple, Ken Fisher, Kristen (Adam) Pontious, McKayla Swackhammer, and Mathias Swackhammer. Also, 11 great grandchildren, Cainan (Kaytlin), Emma, Ethan, Macey, Madi, Ben, Luke, Owen, Liam, and Lawrence, and 4 great great grandchildren, Reece, Azlynn, Asher, Chael. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Fierce as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rolland Fierce. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Shriver’s Hospice, Trudy, Erica, Shane.
