Shelly A. Rambo, 53, of Crooksville, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2024, after a brave battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Born on May 5, 1970, in Zanesville, Shelly was the beloved daughter of David and Cheryl (Long) Rambo. Shelly, known for her beautiful smile and cheerful demeanor, graduated from Crooksville High School in 1990. She dedicated years of service to the school community, working in the cafeteria where she greeted everyone with her signature warmth and kindness. Shelly was an enthusiastic traveler, with memories made in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the magical world of Disney, and on cruises to various destinations. She was also an avid gambler, finding excitement in trips to Wheeling Island and Scioto Downs. Shelly's love for the Wizard of Oz was well known, and she collected many keepsakes celebrating the classic tale. She leaves behind her loving parents, David (Cheryl) Rambo; her devoted brothers, Scott (Alison) Rambo, Darron (Shayla) Rambo, and Daniel Rambo; an adored aunt to Lauren (Chase) Alfman, Carlie (Brett) Stevenson, Murphie (Luke) Rambo, Tyler Rambo, Jordan (Alexia) Theisen, and Jared (Tanya) Theisen; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by sister, Kelly S. Rambo Theisen; maternal grandparents, Landon (Dorothy) Long and paternal grandparents, Russell (Norma) Rambo. Calling hours will be held Thursday February 22, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will be held at 11am Friday February 23, 2024. with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.
