Roberta L. "Bobbi" Crooks, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024, in Roseville, Ohio, at the age of 74. Born on December 6, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Harold and Winifred (Spriggs) Tharp. Bobbi's life was one of dedication and service, marked by her long-standing work at McCoy Pottery in Roseville, Brockway Glass, and Essex Wire in Zanesville. Her commitment to her community was further exemplified through her involvement as an Auxiliary Member of the Roseville American Legion Post 71, where she worked as a bartender for many years. Bobbi’s infectious laugh and orneriness made her a crowd favorite among her patrons and peers when she was behind the bar. She took great pride in her work and was respected and admired by her colleagues for her strong work ethic and vibrant personality. She was an avid sports fan, with unwavering support for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Her passion for her teams was contagious, bringing people together to share in the highs and lows of each season. Bobbi's sense of humor, courage, and loving nature were the hallmarks of her character. She faced life's challenges with a smile and was quick to offer a joke to lighten the mood. Her resilience in the face of adversity was an inspiration to many, and her warm, generous spirit will be deeply missed. Family was the cornerstone of Bobbi's life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Traci (Bryon) Hina; her cherished grandchildren, Logan (Caralee Bates) Hina, and Samantha Strickland; her devoted sisters, Georgeann Wilson, and Becky (Terry) Snyder: sister-in-law, Linda Crooks: and a host of friends too numerous to mention. Bobbi was a guiding force in their lives, offering unwavering support and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Crooks, her son, Troy Kirkbride, and her parents.
