Robert J. Tysinger , 73, of Johnstown, formerly of Blue Rock, passed away Tuesday December 7, 2021 at Licking Memorial Health Systems, Newark, after complications from Covid19. He was born on January 15, 1948, in Zanesville and was the son of Florence Evelyn Price Tysinger and the late Robert J. Tysinger Jr. Jay was formerly employed as a coal miner and barber, only later to become owner and operator of his own trucking company, Tysinger & Sons. He was a genealogy enthusiast, exploring his heritage and ties to Deavertown. Jay enjoyed sharing his knowledge and discoveries with anyone that would listen and his love for John Deere tractors. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 53 years, Sherry L. (Reed) Tysinger; sons, R. Brian (Tina) Tysinger of Newark, Brent (Alicia) Tysinger of Crooksville, Jason Tysinger of Belpre and Jeremy (Paula) Tysinger of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Tristin and Braiden. Per his wishes, private services with burial were held with those in attendance that he cared for the most and came to visit him when he was living.
