Robert J, Mayer Sr, 88, of Roseville, passed away peacefully Monday August 9, 2021 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House with his loving wife by his side. He was born on April 5, 1933 in Three Rivers, Michigan to the late Joseph Francis and Lula Becker Mayer. Bob was an inventor for Bendex, the owner of 2M Corporation and was a former employee of Essex Wire. He was a hardworking, loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances Adams Mayer; sons, Robert J. (Donna) Mayer Jr of Roseville, Mark A. Mayer of Alabama; daughter, Judy I. Mayer of Carrollton, Oh; grandchildren, Chrissy (Andrew) Rice, Ryan (Jessica) Mayer, Sarah (Richard) Buckley; great grandchildren, Tyler Rice, Alorah Mayer, Ryan Mayer Jr, Lucas Buckley, Robert J. Mayer IV (Joey Madden), Teagan Buckley; sisters, Patricia Reams and Sondra Gearhart. Preceding him in death are his parents; grandson, Robert J. Mayer III; brother, David Mayer; sisters, Rosliand Mayer and Janice Sherry. A graveside service will be held in Moore Park Cemetery, Three Rivers, Michigan at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
