Raymond L. German, 74, of Crooksville, passed away Saturday November 27, 2021 at Ohio State University Hospital Wexner Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born June 29, 1947 in Zanesville to the late Wallace and Rosalie (Ogg) German. He was formerly employed as a Supervisor at the Dollar General Warehouse. Ray enjoyed collecting knives, coon hunting, cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Cavaliers. He was a longtime grade school basketball coach at York Elementary School, where he coached each of his sons. Left to mourn his passing are his devoted and loving wife of 42 years, Teresa Burgette German; daughter, Kim (Eric) Newlon; sons, Travis (Makala) German, Wade (Jessica) German, Dan (Audra) German and Matt German; grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Taylor, Tanner, Lakyn, Slade, Wyatt, Ethan, Kinslee, Braylon, Hannah, Journee, Paige and Kale; several great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Thirza Burgette; special brother-in-law, Moe Burgette; best friend, Rick Smith and special friend Eugene Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ron German and Steve German. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday December 1, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville.
