Paulette K. Crane, 73 years of age, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 7, 2025, at her residence in Crooksville, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 5, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Maxine (Dennis) Thomas. Paulette's legacy continues through her cherished children, Josh (Heather) Boring, Brian (Tiffany) Boring, Shane (Jennifer) Boring, Carletta (Dwayne) Prater, Jeri (Nathan) Rusnak, Jennifer (Ben) Szakas, and Charity (Jeff) Work. Her life was further enriched by the joy of her 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness and compassion she instilled in them. Also surviving are brothers, Steve (Martha) Thomas and Brent (Diane) Thomas, along with her brother-in-law, Fred Pierce. Paulette also leaves behind a special friend, Kathy Harper. For 26 years, Paulette dedicated herself to serving others as a Direct Support Specialist at Mt. Aloysius, where she retired in 2023. Her commitment to those in her care was evident in the gentle and respectful manner with which she approached her work. Her colleagues and the many individuals she supported will remember her for her unwavering patience and her nurturing spirit. Paulette's interests reflected her warm and nurturing nature. She found comfort and joy in the company of her faithful fur companions, Oakley and Bella, and could often be found relaxing with a Hallmark Christmas movie, which brought her immense pleasure and contentment. She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Jerry Crane, parents, Paul and Maxine (Dennis) Thomas, and her dear son, Jeremy Boring and her sisters, Yvonne Pierce and Mariann Thomas. Calling hours will be held Wednesday September 10, 2025, from 4pm – 7pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will begin on Thursday September 11, 2025, at 11am with Pastor Clyde Boring officiating.
