Mary M. “Penny” Gray, 80, of Heath, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Inn at Chapel Grove, after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Eleanor (Newman) Blair, born to them on June 3, 1943, in Zanesville, Ohio. Penny lived a life full of joy, laughter, and music. She loved listening to blue grass, spending time with her family and traveling around to various venues watching her grandsons perform in their band, Mary’s Crooked Box. After working many years doing factory work as a laborer, she began her own housekeeping business which she eventually retired from. Left to mourn her passing are son, Scott (April Nichols) Bendure; grandchildren, Jesse (Ali) Bendure, Jerry (Sarah) Bendure, Cole Bendure, Luke (Jessica) Vansickle, Jake Grisby; great grandchildren, Blake, Kadie, Zeppelin, Harper, Lennon, and Nora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Gray and daughter-in-law, Kelly Bendure. No public services will be held, and a dignified cremation will take place under the direction of Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, Ohio 43731.
