June M. Swingle, 93, of Zanesville, formerly of Roseville, passed away Tuesday August 21, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare System after a brief illness. She was born June 2, 1925 in Roseville, to the late Homer Rarick and Marie Fleming Rarick. June was a graduate of Meredith Business College in Zanesville and was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Roseville. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and traveling with her husband to flea markets and trade shows where they showcased his woodworking. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathy (Dan) Young of Zanesville; daughter, Carol Strawn of Clearfield, Utah; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; a sister, Mary Stout of Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Swingle; brother, Wayne Rarick and sisters, Lois Emory and Faye Wright. Per her request, no calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will take place Friday August 24, 2018 at 11:00 am in Roseville Cemetery with Pastor Chris Steele officiating.
