Jerry L. Thompson, 77, Of Crooksville (Rose Farm), went home to be with his Lord, Saturday August 4, 2018 at his residence. Born May 21, 1941 in McLuney, he is the son of the late Robert Thompson and Ruby (Smith) Thompson Roe. Jerry retired from Rockwell International where he worked as a Lathe Machine Operator and was a well-known staple in the Crooksville Community. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, a devoted advocate for the fight to finding a cure for Mitochondria Disease and was actively involved yearly with Bet on Baylee and Baylee’s Ball Bash to rasie awareness for UMDF. He is survived by his wife, Joann Allen Thompson; son, Larry Thompson; and daughter and son-in-law, Amy (Dave) Binkley; daughter-in-law, Jody Thompson; grandchildren, Jade and Baylee Thompson, Peyton and Jordyn Binkley, Tyler, Tabetha and Jessica Thompson; and great grandchildren, Isabelle Binkley, Lily Thompson, Amy Jo Thompson and Alyssa Thompson. Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Gary “MudCat” Thompson who passed away August 7, 2017. Calling hours will be held Tuesday August 7, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday August 8, 2018 with Pastor John Sowers officiating.
