Eric J. Houk, 54, of Crooksville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Genesis Healthcare, under the direction of Hospice. He was a self-employed carpenter by trade and enjoyed working on cars and riding his motorcycle. Eric was a very social person, often being described as the life of the party and always greeting people with a handshake and leaving them with an I love you. Eric was born on August 20, 1968, in Zanesville to Judy Dusenberry Covella and the late Larry Houk. He is survived by his mother, Judy Covella; brother, Brad (Lisa) Houk; sister, Tracey Covella and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Houk and stepfather, Thomas Covella. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 2pm – 4pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where services will begin at 4pm with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Cremation has been chosen to follow the service with burial to later take place in Zion Cemetery, Porterville.
