Eleanor M. (Thomas) Powers

Eleanor M. Powers, 98, Of Roseville passed away Tuesday July 6, 2021 at her residence. She was born on March 19, 1923 in Frazeysburg, the daughter of the late Ernest and Zelma Howell Thomas. Eleanor was a staple in the Roseville Terrace Community, always collecting money for flowers when a fellow neighbor passed away. She loved flowers, listening to country blue grass music and watching game shows. She Is survived by her daughter, Debra Riffle of Thornville; was survived by her son, James “Jim” Powers of Roseville; grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Burnett, Brad (Jeanette) Riffle and Jamie (Karen Kelly) Powers; great grandchildren, Carson Burnett, Katelyn Riffle, Barrett Riffle and Peyton Powers. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Benjamin Powers who passed away Feb. 8, 2000; sisters, Annabelle Weaver, Fern Martin, Esther Dickerson, Leona Denman, Beulah Brock, Bertha Rittenhouse and infant sister, Mary Thomas; brothers, Ward, Carl, Ralph and Earl Thomas; and son-in-law, Bill Riffle. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday July 14, 2021 in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Doug Lynn Officiating.
