Carolyn S. (Gebhart) Filkill

Carolyn S. Filkill, 85, of Roseville, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 20, 2025, in the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House. Born on July 26, 1939, in Zanesville, she was the oldest of six daughters of the late William R. “Bob” and Dorothy (Insley) Gebhart. She was employed throughout years at Essex Wire where she worked as an assembler. In her spare time, you could find her reading or engaging in a card game or bingo with her sisters. She is survived by children, Darren Filkill of Florida and Stephanie Filkill of Zanesville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters and best friends, Linda Bressler and Diana Gill along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark Filkill, sisters Janet Fluharty, Barbara Clark and Sandra “Sass” Christiansen. Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 12pm – 2pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Roseville. No funeral services will be observed, and a dignified cremation will take place following visitation.
