Anna M. Murphy Lightner, 71, of Roseville, passed away, peacefully, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Oaks of Bethesda, under the Care of Hospice of Central Ohio, with her daughter Tracy by her side. She was born February 21, 1950, in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Edwin and Susie Coburn Murphy. Anna was a self-employed daycare worker for 28 years for the state of Ohio. After she was unable to continue daycare due to health reasons, that didn’t stop her passion to look after others and was able to provide care for the elderly. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and animals. Anna loved keeping a diary and journals documenting memories, stories and funny statements about family and friends. This was something everyone looked forward to hearing about. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (John) Abel of Roseville; grandchildren, Casey Hockman and Bill Hockman; great grandchildren, Kami, Connor, Ava, Emma, Alivia; sister, Linda Stengel. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty McNamee Sollars and best friend, Sandy Middleton. Per her wishes, no services will be observed, and cremation will take place.
