Thomas W. Spangler Sr, 80, of Roseville, was called home in the early hours of Monday December 7, 2020 at Continuing Care at Cedar Hill following a long- term illness. Born on December 23, 1939 in Zanesville, he was the son of the late Jack O. and Alice Wooley Spangler. Tom was a foundry worker for Burnham Boiler, where he retired, as well as spent time as an over the road truckdriver. He was a past member of the Crooksville Eagles #1979 until closure, member of the Zanesville Eagles #302, Roseville Sons of the American Legion Post 71. He was an avid athlete in his earlier years and excelled in basketball, loved to play music with country bands since the age of 15 and adored spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Pamela Welch Spangler, with whom he spent 43 years ; daughters, Terrie (David) Holmes; Stacey Stevens, Angie (Mark) Allen; sons, Thomas W. Spangler Jr, Brian (Brenda) Spangler, Troy (Carrie) Spangler and Jamie Reed; brothers, Bill (Jeanie) Spangler and Tony (Barb) Spangler; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Joy Spangler. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Addam Holmes and brother, Jack Spangler. In following with Tom's wishes, a dignified cremation will take place.
