Stephanie S. Slack, 55, of Crooksville, passed away, Tuesday July 4, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville. She was born on October 19, 1961 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mae Urban Swauger. Stephanie worked at many local area businesses over the years, was an avid NASCAR and Tony Stewart fan, enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Michele Swauger, Amanda Westcott and Heidi (Brian Hall) Slack, all of Crooksville; her companion, Jeff Slack, of Roseville; grandchildren, Bryce, Baylee, Gracie, Sarah, Remie, Jaycee, Abriel, Bryer and Ryleigh; brothers, Frank (Vicki) Mumford, Thomas (Elaine) Swauger and Mark (Linda) Swauger; sisters, Marcia Shields and Cathy (Dave) Fleming; and special friend, Lori Dunn. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Scott Shields. Friends and family may call Saturday July 8, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville. A Celebration of life will be held at 8pm with Chaplain Robert Morris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in Stephanie's honor.
