Affectionately known as "Sugar Babe" (the childhood nickname he earned while serving as a baseball team waterboy), he was a retired steelworker from the Ohio FerroAlloy. Sugar Babe was a loyal sports fan who enjoyed watching all sports and "coaching" from his easy chair. Sugar Babe was proudly inducted in the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008. He was a man of strong will and strong faith; an avid solver of puzzles; he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and sharing his many steadfast opinions. His favorite place was anywhere "Lizbeth" was, especially the front porch. On September 4, 1954 he married and is survived by Elizabeth Ann Miller Inman, the love of his life, his solid rock, comforter and keeper of things. They met on a roller skating blind date at which she fell and consequently broke his front tooth. They have been together for nearly 62 years since. He recently said meeting her was the best thing that ever happened to him.
Additionally Roger is survived by his daughter, Sherry L. Stern (Jeffrey) of Pickerington, Ohio; Sons, Mark Steven Inman (Cynthia) of McConnelsville, Ohio and William Allan Inman (Nancy Lane) of Malta, Ohio.
