CROOKSVILLE: Robert Wayne Headley, 63, of Crooksville, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family.

He was born July 26, 1951 in Zanesville to Bernard and Jane (Driggs) Headley. Robert was a veteran and proudly served his county in the United States Army. Robert was a Fiber Optic Engineer for the nation for nine years. He retired from Century Link phone company after 42 years of service. He also was an entrepreneur starting the business Black Oak Enterprises in 1989. Robert was an avid coon hunter placing 3rd in the nation and a member of the American Legion Post 0222.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Brown) Headley; his parents; one brother, Richard (Brenda) Headley; one daughter, Bobi (Victor Sherrick) Headley; one son, Jamey (Gina) Headley; two stepdaughters, Roxanna (George Mayo) Fortney and Alicia (J.C. Sweeney) Van Fossen; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and special friends, Rick and Jane Knerr.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 17 at Snouffer Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, Ohio, 43731. In honoring Roberts wishes cremation will follow.
