Raymond King, 67, of Crooksville passed away at 4:15 pm at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital Sunday February 15, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born October 27, 1947 in Rosefarm to the late Dessel and Mildred Sloan King. He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force. Raymond was a fuel line operator at Swift Transportation in Columbus, OH. He was a member of the 1963 Crooksville Ceramics State Championship Team and an Elder at the Maple Avenue Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading his bible, and was a biddy league football coach for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Myrna King. Sons; Scott (Terri) King; Step-son; John (Julie) Altier, Paul (Sue) Altier, Robert (Kathy) Altier, Tony (Jonna) Altier. Daughters; Beth (Gary) Smith, Step-daughters; Molly (Ernie) Hughes, Mindy (Jimmy) Swingle. His special furry companion Harley. Grandson Phillip Duvall. 21 Step-Grandchildren. 13 Step Great-Grandchildren. Brother Robert ( Barbara) Turner. Sisters Romona Neff, Shirley Singer, Gloria Houk, Ruth Mullin. Raymond is preceded in death by a brother Wayne King; Sister, Julie King; 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Wednesday February 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Snouffer Funeral Home 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, Ohio 43731. Friends may call from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Maple Ave Christian Church with Pastor Conard Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
