Harriet R. Smith, 96, of Cannelville went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2015. She was born September 14, 1918 in Cannelville, Ohio to the late William and Ival (Stout) Maxwell. Harriet worked at Essex Wire for over 20 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Olive Branch Chapter, Cannelville Card Girls, and The Cannelville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, baking cookies, and loved to travel. She is survived by a son, William Keith Smith of New Carlisle, Ohio; A niece, Debbie (Kevin) McIntyre; Grandchildren, Bobby, Brett and Brian Smith; Great Grandchildren Eric, Paige, Landon and Caroline Smith. Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Smith; and a brother Charles "Ducky" Maxwell. Calling hours will be held Wednesday March 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Snouffer Funeral Home, 33 S. Main St., Roseville. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Thursday March 5 at the funeral home with Pastor Gay Blau and Mary Beth Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
