Gary Eugene Nykile, 46, of Quaker City, passed away Wednesday August 5, 2015 after a farming accident. He was born December 30, 1968 in Zanesville to Robert E. (Carol Ann Smith) and Linda Barbour Nykile. Gary was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, Barnesville American Legion Post 168 and Barnesville VFW 2792. He previously drove truck for Fed Ex for 16 years and loved farming and riding ATV's. Gary also proudly served our country in the United States Army. He is survived by brothers, Robert J. (Corrine Evans) Nykile of So. Zanesville and Travis E. (Cass) Nykile of Zanesville; niece and nephew, Kaitlyn (Anthony S. Joseph) Nykile and Chase (Maddie Carnes) Nykile; great nephews, Anthony J., Ryan Lee, Elijah and Ezekiel; Aunts and Uncles, Phyllis Miller, Rose (Don) Cottrell, Jim (Mary) Barbour, Jane Barbour and Mildred (Jerry) Harrison; step-grandmother, Julie Barbour of Coal City, W.Va; his girlfriend of 4 years, Kay Mankin; extended family, Bill and Judy Gibson; numerous cousins; and special fur companions, Tanner and Bubba. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Louise Barbour, paternal grandparents, John and Margaret Nykile and uncles, Gary Barbour and John E. Nykile; and aunt, Linda L. Nykile. Calling Hours will be held Sunday August 9, 2015 from 2 to 6pm at ROSS-FRASH FUNERAL HOME, 33 Main Street, Roseville, where funeral services will be held Monday August 10 at 1pm with Pastor John Dean Cottrell officiating. Full military honors will be presented at the funeral home. Gary was known as the kind of guy willing to help others out. The family request that In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Gary's honor for expenses . Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
