Esther M. Harvey, 92, a resident at Adams Lane Care Center and formerly of Possum Hollow, Crooksville, passed away Friday April 15, 2016 at 3:20 AM. She was born May 6, 1923 in Crooksville to the late Raymond (Red) and Ida Mae Burns Veyon. Esther worked at the local potteries and later was employed by Essex Wire for 20 years.  She leaves behind her loving daughter and son-in-law, Marcella (Fred) Maxwell of Crooksville; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and step grandchildren; Esther also leaves behind many good friends including Jane (Don) Pettit and Family and Donna (Paul) James and Family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Rabbit" Harvey who passed away August 5, 1986; daughter, Lucille Reed; a brother, Wade Veyon; and sister, Josephine Pruett. Friends may call Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm at ROSS-FRASH FUNERAL HOME, 207 Burley Street Crooksville. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11 am at Crooksville Free Methodist Church, 169 W. Main St., Crooksville, where she was a member, with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery next to her husband.
