Cassandra "Cassie" Rupe, 74, of Cannelville, passed away peacefully, Saturday March 18, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 14, 1943 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Ina (Cox) and Floyd Zink, Sr. Cassie worked at Lear Inc, formerly Essex Wire, for 20 years, as well as several local area potteries, such as Burley Clay, where she later retired. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Melvin Rupe of the home; sons, Trent (Sharon) Heskett of Roseville and Cary Heskett of Zanesville; daughters, Lorie (Ron) Ludwig of Zanesville, Crystal (Jeff) Ransom of Zanesville, Shanda (Gary) McConnell of Roseville and step-daughter, Marsha (James) Brown of Virginia; a sister, Anita (Rick) Bonice of Zanesville; her wonderful grandchildren, Chad, Kindra, TJ, Jerrod, Britney, Haley, Josh, Cade, Ashley, Toddy, Joshua, Kayla, Trevor, Tylo and Macie; her beautiful great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved so very much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Lee Rupe and step-son, Melvin Rupe, Jr. There will be no calling hours observed per Cassie's request. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:45pm at Stovertown Cemetery with Chaplain William Harris officiating for those wishing to attend.
