Roseville: Bill (William D.) Apger, 18, of Roseville, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016. Bill was born July 11, 1998 in Tacoma, Washington, the only son of Michelle Lee Kirkwood. Bill was a senior classman at Crooksville High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Drama Club, Quiz team, an Ohio Thespian. While he enjoyed his time in these endeavors, his favorite times were spent as a member of the CHS Band. Bill was a dedicated percussionist, achieving multi-year section leader status in both the marching and concert bands. Performing at competitions and football games, as well as marching in parades and pep band, made Billy very happy. Bill was an active member of the First Hope United Methodist Church of Crooksville, where he helped with Sunday School. Bill was also involved in the Hull Pottery Association and the annual Crooksville Community Celebration. Bill is survived by his custodial grandparents, Robert and Melody Kirkwood of Roseville; his mother, Michelle Lee (Cindy) Kirkwood of Zanesville; his aunt, Ann (Chad) Rodgers of Philo; his uncle, Sean (Heather) Kirkwood of Crooksville; and cousins Mike and Erin Rodgers of Philo, and Lydiah Kirkwood of Crooksville. Bill was preceded in death by his special great-grandmother, Katie Curl of Crooksville, whose love and nurturing care directed him through ten years of his life. Family, friends, and classmates may call from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 and 10 am until time of service at 11am, Saturday November 19, 2016 at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville with Pastor Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Crooksville Band Boosters, c/o Antony Dunlap, 4075 Ceramic Way, Crooksville, OH 43731.
