Bernard M. (Bunk) McHenry, 94, of Deavertown passed away peacefully at home Thursday July 21, 2016. He was born to the late Elza and Ella Dawson McHenry in Crooksville on October 7, 1921. Bunk served our country proudly during WWII in the Navy. He worked for Pioneer Electric and was also self employed by owning his own Dump Truck and a Dairy Farmer. He was a member of the Grange. Bunk is survived by his Daughter; Marian Star McHenry. Son; David (Anita Lantz) McHenry. Grandchildren; Mary (Adam) Truax, Jennifer (Darrell) Pletcher. Great Grandchildren; Xavier and Silas Truax, Brayden and Brantley Pletcher. Brothers; Marvin, Wilbert, and Gilbert McHenry. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mildred Gibbs McHenry which passed away in 1995. Brothers; Burl, Herbert, Samuel McHenry. Sister; Esther "Ruth" McHenry. Calling hours will be Sunday July 24 from 4 pm. to 6 pm. at Ross-Frash Funeral Home 207 Burley Street Crooksville, OH. Funeral services will be held Monday July 25 at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor John Sellers officiating. With full military honors Bunk will be laid to rest beside his wife at Black Oak Cemetery.
