Arnold Sparks, 98, of Crooksville, passed away at 1:12 AM, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare, New Lexington. He was born September 27, 1917 in Gimlet, Kentucky to the late Melvin and Sarah Garris Sparks. Arnold worked at several local area potteries and retired as a janitor from the Crooksville School System. He is survived by his children, Linda (Jerry) Marks of Crooksville, Kevin (Sandy) Sparks of Cannelville and Brenda Milligan of Stockport; grandchildren, Scott (Courtney) Poling, Cassie Burson and Heather (Jason) Hammer; great grandchildren, Randy (Stephanie) Poling, Mashala Poling, Sara (Jimmy) Filkins and Heidi Hammer. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Ruby Walters Sparks. Friends may call Thursday June 30, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville. Graveside services will follow at 11am in Iliff Cemetery,  McLuney with Pastor Larry Penrod officiating.
