Obituary

Alfred Ray Kern, 79, of Zanesville, formerly of Roseville, passed away Sunday June 25, 2017 at Adams Lane Care Center. He was born August 16, 1937 to the late Ollie and Holbert Kern. Ray was known as quite the jokester and was an avid hunter and fisherman, living in Roseville most of his life. He worked at Nelson McCoy Pottery and for the Ransbottom Pottery Company, where he retired. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Robbins Kern; brother, Donald Kern and several nieces and nephews; Ray was preceded in death by sons, Billy and David Kern; brothers, Everett Kern and Russell Kern; and sisters, Evelyn Hina and Betty Carpenter. Friends and Family may call Friday, June 30, 2017 from 11am until time of service at 1:00pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Roseville, where services will be officiated by Pastor Albert Laese. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 am
