Wayne E. Frash, 80, of Crooksville, passed away Saturday August 12, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 13, 1936 in Roseville to the late Arthur and Mary Jones Frash. Wayne was nothing short of a huge asset to his community as he was a past president of the Jaycees and was a founding member of the Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival and continued to help run and operate the festival for multiple years, an original and one of the last 3 remaining members of the Ten Tall Men, Co-Founder, along with Doug Cannon and Steve McNeal of the Crooksville Archery Program started at the Rec Center and founding member of the board of trustees at the Ohio Ceramic Center located between Crooksville and Roseville. He was a Sergeant of the Crooksville Auxiliary Police Department for over 20 years, a member of the Custom Cruisers Car Club, Life Member of Whitetails Unlimited, a 50 year Member of the Carpenters Union Local 200 in Columbus - retiring from The Myron Cornish Company and a member of First Hope United Methodist Church, Crooksville. Wayne is survived by his sons, Kirt (Kandi) Frash of Crooksville and Joe Frash of Gahanna; daughters, Lori Crooks of Zanesville and Alicia (Brent) Tysinger of Crooksville; grandchildren, Brandon (Vanessa) Frash, Kristin (Lamont Scriber) Swinehart, Brittany (Jimmy) Moomey, Kyle (Catie Trenner) Frash, Zach (Madison Lopez) Frash, Mariah (Seth Wintgens) Frash and T’Keyah Tuesno; great grandchildren, Ellie, Leighton, Braxton and Oliver; faithful fur companions, Star, Ruger and Kimber; nieces and nephews, Kim, Donnie, Lawrence and Annie; and sisters-in-law, Carol and Betty Frash of California. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and best friend, Sandra Kay Frash; and brothers, Donald and Lawrence Frash. Friends and Family may call Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at ROSS-FRASH FUNERAL HOME, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery where he will be laid to eternal rest next to his beloved wife.
