Linda C. Turner, 70, of New Lexington, passed away Wednesday September 5, 2018 at Country Lane Gardens, Thornville, after a sudden illness. She was born on January 10, 1948 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Clay Davis. Besides being a loving mother, Linda worked for Essex Wire in the 1970’s, was known to have babysat a large number of children in her home in the 1980’s and later was employed by the New Lexington City Schools as a cook, where she retired. She was Methodist by faith. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Elmer Turner of the home; daughter, Carmen (Doug) Mitchell of Nelsonville; granddaughter, Madelyn Mitchell of Nelsonville; brothers, Bill (Jill) Davis and David Bruce Davis; several nieces and nephews, a special niece, who she adored, Heather Tracy; and best friend since childhood, Connie (Bill) Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brother in laws, MaryAnn (Bob) Cole and Nancy (Jim) Coble; sister and brother in laws, Gloria (Jim) Imler and mother in law, Vinia Turner. Friends may call Monday September 10, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will be held Tuesday September 11, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
