John M. VanMeter

John Michael VanMeter, 66, of Thornville, passed away Wednesday August 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 28, 1952 in Zanesville, the son of the late Edmond P. VanMeter, Sr and Lydia Barthule VanMeter. John was formerly employed with Kiser Aluminum as a steel worker and later retired. He is survived by brothers, Edmond P. VanMeter Jr. of Mt. Perry, Wesley VanMeter of Blue Rock, Kenny VanMeter of Zanesville, Tracy VanMeter of Crooksville, Brian VanMeter of Heath; sisters, Vivian Harvy of Shawnee, Paula VanMeter of Roseville, Patricia VanMeter of Florida, Jerri VanMeter of Zanesville, Therese VanMeter of South Zanesville and Vicki Belle of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Victor VanMeter; and sisters, Virginia Ervin, Peggy G. Kopis and Carol VanMeter. No calling hours will be observed. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
