Gene Dusenberry Obituary

Gene E. Dusenberry, 89, of Crooksville, passed away Monday April 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 12, 1928 in McLuney, Ohio to the late Otto and Katie Pitcock Dusenberry. Gene was employed by several local area potteries and loved to visit local eateries and Jim’s Barber Shop to socialize with friends. He was a life member of the Crooksville Eagles and was always up for square dancing. Gene is survived by several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Pat Dusenberry; and special friends, Jim Bates, Bryan Pontious and Junior Crum; Gene was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Isabelle Altier Dusenberry; brothers, Zane Dusenberry, Clarence (Pauline) Dusenberry and Walter (Bonnie) Dusenberry; sisters, Hazel (Vernon) Starcher, Erma (Orlan) Cherry and Olive (Theron) Dennis. Family and friends may call Thursday April 5, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will be held at 1pm with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.
