Fay Fluharty

Fay Fluharty, 93, of Roseville, passed away at 4:10 pm, Monday May 29, 2017 in Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born April 27, 1924 in Roseville to the late Henry and Teressa Valentine Fluharty. Fay was a former employee of the Zanesville Times Recorder, but spent most of her life assisting and caring for her family. She often referred to believing that God’s purpose for her on earth was to care for her entire family, doing just that as she outlived them all. You could find her every Sunday, health willing, for the past 75 years playing the piano at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Fay also loved outdoor gardening and birds. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Linda Fulk, Ron Fluharty, Steve Rhodes, Don Fluharty, Gay-Wynn Cooper, Dave Fluharty, Sharon Fluharty and Carol Sue Dreier. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Cleo Caton, Gay Rhodes, Alma Bush and Zetta V. Bush; brothers, Guy, Melvin, Winford, Russell and Okey Fluharty; nieces and nephews, Dick, Sonny and Louise Fluharty and Marilyn Taylor. Friends and Family may call Thursday, June 1st, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home 33 Main Street, Roseville. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11am, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Roseville with Pastor Carolyn Hoskinson, Pastor Marc Caton and Pastor John Sowers officiating.
