Phyllis "Jean" (Ashley) Jackson

Phyllis “Jean” Jackson, 78, of Crooksville, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. Born August 30, 1939 in Moxahala, Ohio, Jean was a homemaker for her family and her faithful fur companions, Jakie and Jess. She was an active member of the Crooksville community and dedicated over 13 years to assisting the development and activities at the Crooksville Rec Center. Jean was an avid sports fan and you could hear her cheering loudly on any sideline for her grandchildren she loved dearly. She is survived by her mother, Daisy Evans Ashley; son, Mark (Staci) Jackson of Utica; daughters, Michelle (Bill) Hampton and Dedra McIntosh both of Crooksville; grandchildren, Ashley (Brad) Kessler, Derek (Bertha Harney) Bush, Steffanie (Cody Slack) Bush, Seth (Hannah) Hampton, Bailee (Jared) Gonder and Karley Hampton; great grandchildren, Gage, Trevor and Ethen Bush, Gavin Brailer, Katara Slack, and Barrett and Ellie Kessler. She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Ashley; husband, Richard E. “Dick” Jackson Jr.; and a son, Paul Jackson. God Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, family and friends may call Friday February 23, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley St., Crooksville, where funeral services will be held Saturday February 24, 2018 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
