Wilfred L.  "Bill" Gheen, 87, of Roseville, passed away peacefully, Friday August 25, 2017 surrounded by his family after an extended illness. Born October 19, 1929 in Cannelville to the late Willard E. and Pansy Taylor Gheen, he was employed for 27 years with the Ferro Alloy and later retired from Brockway Glass. Bill was an avid gardener and loved to hunt. He was a member of the Crooksville-Roseville VFW Post 9090 and the NRA. One of his greatest passions was talking about his service with the United States Air Force during the Korean War and serving in the 99th Bomb Squadron. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn St. Clair Gheen, of the home; son, Mike Gheen of Roseville; daughter, Susan (Bob) Piccone of Crooksville; grandchildren, Trevor Piccone, Brittany Piccone, Colton Gheen; and a sister, Zola Duncan of Zanesville. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Gheen. Family and Friends may call Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Roseville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Stovertown.
