Rodger E. Miller

Rodger E. Miller, 75, of Crooksville, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room. He was born May 22, 1942 in New Lexington to the late Herman “Shorty” and Orma Wells Miller. Rodger was a self - employed contractor by trade, loved hunting, camping and could be found in his garden at any time. He also loved to fish and often looked forward to his trips to Canada with his buddies. Rodger is survived by his companion of 8 years, Darla Channel of Corning; her children, Sommer (Shawn) Carr, Matt Bateson and grandchild, Charlie Carr; his sons, Kippy (Nancy) Miller of Gahanna; their children, Kristafal (Jennifer) Miller, Chrishia (Jerry) Martin, Rachel (Jake) Morris; son, Perry (Ronda) Miller of Crooksville; and their children, Jennifer (Ben) Buckliew, Nathan Miller, Daniel (Heidi) Miller and Ashlee Miller; son, Chris (Lisa) Miller of Crooksville and their children, Christopher Miller, Josh (DeeJay) Miller, Justin (Tiffany) Miller, Brittany Miller (Lonnie) and Trevor Miller; and daughter, Kim Heger of Crooksville, along with her children, Tyler Thompson, Tabetha Thompson and Jessica Thompson; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Donna) Miller of Crooksville; sisters, Arlene Driggs of McConnelsville; mother of his children, Barbara Miller of Zanesville and many other friends and family members who loved him and his stories dearly. Friends and Family may call Friday June 2, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville, where funeral services will begin at 8pm. Per his request, cremation will follow.
